Choice of Visits
Our Gîtes
Located in the La Manche and Orne areas of Normandy, these Gîtes have been carefully selected by us because they offer our groups the security, exclusivity, vast open green outdoor spaces, easy access to various sites & visits and good wholesome freshly cooked meals.
Facilities
Each property has two main rooms which double up as dining rooms/activity rooms, kitchen, bedrooms with en-suite facilities, 3 or 4 acres of green outside space, outdoor playing fields (La Manche) and outdoor football pitch & basketball court (Orne).
Amenities
Each gîte sits in acres ofits own private and secure grounds, with grassed and courtyard areas where a variety of ball games can be enjoyed – football, volleyball, rounders, racket games …. You might need to bring some sports equipment with you (check with us first), but these items can be easily transported in the coach.
Bedrooms
All the bedrooms have their own en-suite shower/toilet/washbasin, with children in rooms of 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 beds and teachers in twin and single rooms. All bed linen is provided but you may need to bring your own towels.
Meals
Dinner, breakfast and packed lunch is provided for all groups. As each gîte has its own cook, the dinner menu can be adapted to the general taste of the group. Vegetarians and some special diets can be catered for (but we need to know in advance).
French Lessons
Qualified French national teachers will work with ability groups, from beginners up to GCSE standard. The French teachers are fully experienced in working with English school children, and will encourage the children to participate. If you would like to include some lessons in your programme we can arrange a half day class.
Fine Art and Sculpture Classes (Orne Only)
Sue Riley graduated with a first class honours degree in Fine Art and now works from her studio/gallery in Normandy. Sue offers short courses in sculpture using clay, plaster and mixed media, as well as life drawing courses. We can arrange an art or sculpture day (or 2, 3, 4 days courses) for those interested groups – please allow a minimum of one full day for this course.
